Czech-Mongolian Relations

Czech-Mongolian relations date back to 1950 when former Czechoslovakia established official diplomatic ties with the Mongolian People’s Republic.

Our organization supports several key initiatives.

Depository

We are building a modern depository to ensure the safe preservation of artistic objects, artifacts, and historical documents related to Mongolian culture. It will also include a library with publications and periodicals focused on Mongolian history and heritage.

MongolSpace

This project showcases the world of Mongolian nomads through a collection of approximately 300 artifacts, primarily from Dr. Šíma’s Little Asian Museum. The exhibition features traditional clothing, tools, religious objects, and yurt furnishings.

Virtual Yurt

The virtual tour of a Mongolian yurt takes you into the heart of traditional nomadic life. From the outside, you will see a circular structure with a wooden frame covered in felt, designed to withstand the harsh conditions of the Mongolian steppes.
