Our Organization Supports Several Key Projects

Get Involved in Strengthening Czech-Mongolian Relations! If you are organizing interesting activities or projects in this field, we would love to hear from you. Together, we can explore new opportunities for collaboration.

Depository

We are building a modern depository to ensure the safe preservation of artistic objects, artifacts, and historical documents related to Mongolian culture. It will also include a library with publications and periodicals focused on Mongolian heritage and history. The depository is intended not only as a storage facility but also as a center for research and education.

If you own an item connected to Mongolian culture, traditions, or history and are considering donating or selling it, we would be grateful for the opportunity to enrich our exhibition.

MongolSpace

This project presents the world of Mongolian nomads through a collection of approximately 300 artifacts, primarily from Dr. Šíma’s Little Asian Museum. The exhibition features traditional clothing, tools, religious objects, and yurt furnishings. Visitors can explore the history and daily life of Mongolian nomads through these everyday objects.

The goal of the museum is to digitize and make this cultural heritage accessible to the wider public.

Virtual Yurt

The virtual tour of a Mongolian yurt takes you into the heart of traditional nomadic life. From the outside, you will see a circular structure with a wooden frame covered in felt, designed to withstand the harsh conditions of the Mongolian steppes. The entrance door, often decorated with colorful ornaments, provides a first impression of Mongolian culture’s rich symbolism and artistry.

Inside, you will find a cozy space with a central hearth, surrounded by simple yet functional furniture. The virtual tour allows for interactive exploration of individual objects, their history, and their use in the daily life of nomads.

The overall experience combines authentic atmosphere with modern technology, bringing visitors closer to what life is like in the Mongolian steppe.
